For all of the Detailer's that have a website for your business . . . . go a few questions for you regarding hosting: Where are you folks hosting? How much space are you getting? How many e-mail address's? How much are you paying? I have been waiting a while to get a site together and for this person to do my site but i'm at the point of just transferring my free site to a host and just hosting it so people can have something to look at and get a feel for my business. Any suggestions and comments are welcome and appreciated. :applause:
and how is that working out for you? Of course i was thinking the obvious which is some where like GoDaddy
sweet deal guys . . . . would anyone be able to lend some form of assistance in taking a site from a free place like google and upload it to a hosting site such as network solutions? I downloaded the files from the free site. I just need to decide on a hosting place and figure out what type of package to go with and then figure out how to upload the files. What package do you guys have?
I didn't know how to do any of that... nor did I care to learn so I paid a designer to do it for me...
hey i forgot about them. i'll need to look into that as well. Do you have a pretty hefty package as far as space goes and bandwidth?
just host. was named editors pick by cnet or something like that. pretty cheap for all the stuff you get. I'm happy :thumb:
I host all of my forums and stuff on my friends server. The sites are never down, always fast and if there is ever a problem he's just a call or email away. If you want I can find out what he charges. I think it's like $100 a year for forums not sure what a static page would be.
I only pay $6.99 a year with 1and1. I got the domain name registration and get one email address, five static pages. My website was also built using their built-in website developer tool since I can't really afford to upload my own source code to really customize my website. However, my site does its purpose and does it decently for that price point. I haven't had any negative experiences with them and would highly recommend them.
well customer service is a pretty big factor when comes to hosting i would assume. It would suck to have issues and not be able to reach customer service.
