Degreasing

Hi!

I'm still a bit confused about degreasing - whether it needs to be done before using shampoo, exactly what gets degreased (just tyres or paint as well), and which degreasers are safe to use on paint.

I would really welcome contributions on this topic.

I like to degrease after an initial rinse with my pressure washer and before foaming the vehicle down. I usually use a mixture of CWC, Strong Wash and/or MS SGS in the foam cannon as well.

 

A fairly alkaline cleaner will act as a safe degreaser

 

i like to use p21s TAW on the lower half of the vehicle or on the whole car using a foam cannon
