it seems like they would warp very easily durring washing if you were not careful.

everyone loves an egg shaped polishing pad

I dont know what others are experiencing but I NEVER get a polish build up in the middle of the pad like that. Never. I think these pads, while interesting are designed(from a marketing perspective) to take advantage of some people who have not yet tightened down their polishing application and end up using too much product to begin with coupled with poor placement that results in consistent middle pad loadup.

With all due respect, I don't care what their pad can do. Bottom line is, if you are having problems with saturation, which is the whole purpose of their pad, then you are using to much polish. Use smaller amounts of polish and work a smaller area and you'll eliminate the problem. When you use a smaller amount of polish, it doesn't have time to get soaked into the pad as it is being broken down immediately. I could easily do one whole side of a car with the amount of polish they used in the demo. I'm not saying I'm a polishing god and that I know everything, but I'd be more inclined to try using a bit less polish before I blow the wad on another pad/ backing plate system. Just trying to offer some helpful advice, thats all.

If you are having problems with product caking up in the center of the pad you are either using way too much product, not priming the pad correctly or both. There is no reason you have to rely on a pad with a hole in the center of it to elevate from product caking in the center of pad.

I hear 911 as for me i have no problems with it building up like in the video yes from time to time you get some build up i don't care who you are an how good you are it happens. i just say this is a smart idea an in the video they use that much to show you an make it easier for you to see what the pads are really doing. i say any idea weather it be pad bp buffer that helps is always a good one an this makes a hell of alot of sense no matter how much product you use, cause all products break down at different times an heat conditions. it's like this stop an think for a moment=

it is like going on the graviton carnival ride you go in this big circle ship that spins guy who runs it sits in the middle everyone else gets sucked to the wall when spins but aslong as he stays in the center like the spindle on a buffer he don't move but once he goes a little off side boom he gets pulled to the walls same concept as these pads an buffer do with product very very smart idea.

I have had the issue of polish going and caking in the center of the pad, I put 4 small dots of polish around the outer edge and always get the center caked up. I found out that it was from using too much pressure and the center would get really soft from the heat and polish would start to accumulate there. Now I have sense used less pressure and polish and has not been a issue.

I don't care much about the saturation part... watching him polish on the beetle was scary... I would never use the outer edge of a pad like that on a small area... looks like he is begging to burn and hologram paint... I'd grab one of my proper sized pads (50mm or 75mm) for that small area....
