I just bought a heated pressure washer from daimer.com to clean some very greasy and filthy car equipment. I really like the way it just cuts through the grease and grime without harmful chemicals. Does anyone else have any experience with industrial steam cleaners rather than cold pressure washers to try and remove grease and grime?

Can I use green chemicals with pressure washing for car cleaning .

I use a steam cleaner some of the time. It has it's good and bad points.

    Good:
You don't need to us cleaners. It'll soften the leather and vinyl and help absorb the dressing better. Doesn't leave a residue behind. You can stick it in the air ducts and kill the bacteria (This is what I use it for the most).

    The bad:
The sucker is HOT and you can easily get burned. Steam burn is one of the worst burns to get. Usually takes longer than chemicals. Is just water so there is no lubricicity when using it on really dirty door jambs and such to help with marring. A good steam is expensive.

And yes, you can use "Green" chemicals with a power washer.

My problem with steam and grease is after it removes the bulk of the gunk there is still a film of it left... Just water has a really hard time cleaning grease/oil... now throw on a little bit of APC or degreaser and it blast stuff away great!

I'm not familiar with any "green" chemicals being used on interiors and such, but I'd say it should be fine. I think CG has a wash that is "green" and that works fine.
