I don't have as much as experience as most of the others, I am in the same situation with the townhome style houses and parking. When I am working on a horizontal panel, I try to do those first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon when the sun isn't as bad on those surfaces, since they get the hottest. On vertical panels, I park the side I'm not working on in the sunlight to try to get a bit of shade on the side I am working on. If the polish starts to dry to quickly, I reduce the size of the area I am working on to 18"X18" and if I need to, I mist my pad with distilled water or the ONR clay lube dilution, just enough to keep the polish workable until it fully breaks down. I also make sure I am sparing with the polish, because too much will definitely dry out. I also have the ability to work at night with halogens if I need to, but then humidity and condensation become another battle. Hopefully, I will be moving to better military housing with a garage next year, but until then that is what I do to cope. Hope it helps.

earlier this year i was forced to polish a car in 108 degree sun. as bwanderson79 stated, i did the side panels first and left hood, top and truck for last since i started at 1pm, by them it was a bit cooler. i used menz SIP and a green llc pad. no problems whats so ever. just worked small, and i wait till i was down and did a complete rinse with di water. the bad part was the car was a blue bmw! talk about not being able to hide any holograms. thank god i do a pretty good job.
