What is the 1 thing you hate when detailing

just started this but hate when you do paint correction you look at nice finish after and notice RDS, this drove me nuts and i didnt had time to correct them. there werent that many compared to what it was before

taping is pretty fun,

 

Headliners... even with my steamer it's a PITA :duh:

 

i'm not a pro remember ... but my i have a chatty neighbor that will when she comes over to chat it is ALWAYS either half way through the shampoo or half way through the drying... drives me bonkers.

that and C pillars on the inside (which i why on our Audi i opted for the Titanium package that installs an all black head liner ! (woot! )

and buffing / polishing skinny A pillars (on the outside)

so that is three. can i have 3?

 

lol at the guys saying they hate interiors. I agree, they suck. AND, one of my installers' wives is picking up some clients from the airport, and asked if I would just do an interior detail. I cringed, but said yes. Gotta do it in the next few days.

 

Absolutely. I will sometimes where a radio with the ear pieces in and nothing playing simply because if people assume you are wearing them they can't hear you and they won't stop and bug you.

 

Or even if they do try to talk to you, you can completely ignore them. They'll notice the earplugs sooner or later.

 

I used to get "your washing it again?! it is just going to get dirty." from my one neighbor.
until the day i was feeling a bit witty and replied with "then why do you wash your A** everyday if it is just going to get dirty again" :yikes: he being an easy going guy was shocked for a second then busted out laughing and never asked that again...

Another thing I hate is cleaning up afterwards, washing and wiping wash buckets. washing brushes, putting everything away, etc..

 

Cleaning pads... ick...

 

When it's cold or near freezing mark... and of course the cleaning.

Funny you mention that. I've got one that I did this past weekend that I haven't been paid for yet. And it was a huge undertaking, what with removing two year old freckles of white house paint from an entire Mazda3.

Yeah. "Removing freckles of two year old white house paint from Mazda 3s" is close to the top of my hate list. :lol:

 

I hate interiors! I'm not a little person, so crawling around the backseat area of a car, trying to clean windows and stuff is pretty funny.

 

Very sore knees after completing the job.

 

If they dont pay they dont get the car back. Pretty simple rule that seems to work.

 

I was kinda being cheeky although I did a vehicle for a neighbour who took about 10 days to pay..no biggie...I knew where he lived, LOL.
