I have now tried three different MF wash chemicals and still get MF lint. At I ever going to be able to get rid of this stuff????
Change your MF Andy. All I use is MicroRestore and don't get any linting except the odd towel. Actually its the same three towels that keep linting.
Pakshak, I have never had any problems with their towels. I have over 300 of the MF's and 45 of their WW's and never had a problem.
burn the ubers. They are the MOST linting towels I've ever experience. And I've tried about 5-6 different brands. Chemical Guys' are great.. and I have about 25 Danase Phat Towels. They are SUPERB in both plushness and lack of linting.
I'm with Aaron. The Ubers lint right out of the plastic wrapper. I once - and only once - tried to clean a windshield with one of those things. I really like the Super Fly Towels that Justin sells at theragshack.com. They last forever, and to me, they're just right. They're nice and soft, yet not "impossibly thick," so they actually work. I've got about a dozen of them, and will happily order another dozen next time I need more good MF.
I only have 2 Uber towels (Red 16x16, and Blue 16x16), and don't have any lint problems with them...hmmmmm...
Which MF did you use for the glass, the glass towels? I just bought a pack but I haven't used them yet.
Both red, blue, and the no names lint more than any towel I've ever experienced. I bought 5 no names.. Waste of money when compared to the phat towels.
The regular 16x16 ones that come in either blue or red. It's been a while since I got them, so Phil may have changed the name of them. It looks like his site is down ATM, so I can't find a link. Ordinarily I'd use some glass towels, but I was having a hard time with Duragloss Rain Repel hazing in hot weather. Using a more plush towel solved the problem; I'm now using Costco yellows when I clean glass with the Duragloss stuff.
Tip I have found that works, get a link roller, and get to a new sticky surface and roll the MF left to right, then rotate 90* and do it again. Do this for both sides, put them in the wash with hot water and use your soap (CG MF Wash for me) Then dry them in drying with some blue dryer balls. You may have do the link roller again and then wash them if still bad. This has let me have lint free towels, from uber thick ones to normal nap ones.
Only towels I have had lint so far are the cheapo's from Costco..sorry to hear you are having bad luck with the Ubers.
i had lint problems with the red ubers before. his glass towels never give me problems though. my fave towels are tropi-care though.
I.m almost thinking of throwing them in the dryer on med heat for one cycle - maybe two or three and see how they do
I too have had some linting issues with some of my uber towels. So far I have had zero issues with any of the CG 550s,the CG fluffers, and my favorite the sonus ultimate detailing towel. All the other brands of towels I get a random linter, with the exception of AGs towels. EVERY BOGO towel ive gotten from them has had huge linting problems. To be honest Ive had quite a few problems with what theyve sent me and it just wasnt worth my time to complain to somebody yet again. I bought some of their gold and black border towels on bogo and the quality was just horrible. They werent even square shaped for the most part. No wonder they were bogo
