First HDR tries

I've no idea why Photoshop likes to merge and include those red things there. I would clone them out, but I'm feeling lazy. Also, my computer was shitting bricks while processing these, haha.

 

Shots looks great! Though you need to level the horizon on the second shot

 

Sell the first one as a painting :mounty:

 

what do you use to merge them? I heard Photomatix does a better job then photoshop.

 

I like the first one..the second one just doesn't look right...not sure if it's the color of the sky or the focus...any who pictures look good :thumb:

 

i use photoshop to merge these, but it sure has been giving me some problems

 

use photomatix pro, the stand alone program, it can process very large images with ease. The photomatix plug-in for p-shop can only handle 1024 x 768 res. photos. which is fine for online posting but not for publication.

my technique to get HDR without a tripod...is to take a shot in raw at 0 EV. Then using the canon software that came with my 30D, to output to 3 jpegs at 3 different "brightness" levels. then use Photomatix pro to process them.

Mess with the settings of photomatix pro, i didn't know the first thing about HDR, just trial and error.

That last pic is awesome.

 

I got PhotoMatrix installed yesterday, and it is sooooo much easier. I think it makes better realistic images too.







Photomatrix works a lot better with jpegs than it does with RAWs.

 

Yeah i only use photomatix pro with Jpegs.
