    Hello all,

I am getting a IWC edition SL63 and would like to know if there is a proper LSP for matte white paint.

The paint of the IWC SL63 is very unique. It has not tone of shine nor gloss whatsoever.

    Any suggestions? Sealant or wax?

    Thanks

ps: I won't be doing this myself, I wanted to be informed on how to approach this.

As long as you do not use an abrasive on it, which will level the paint and cause it to be shiny, you will be fine with almost any wax/sealant. I would go the sealant route as they will dry 100% clear and not fill the dips and valleys in the paint that create the matte look.

I think if you can afford SL63, you can sure afford Zymol Vintage, which would be my choice of protection for this one. Vintage comes with free refills for life...

I had a client with an 500SL that had that finish on the lower half of the car and we used a sealant on it without issue. Added a tiny bit of gloss, but thats it.

I don't know super, I wouldn't necessarily agree with your statement. I mean just because you spent $100k + on a vehicle doesn't mean you'll justify spending $3k on a wax. Don't get me wrong this doesn't mean they can't afford it it just means it's hard to justify that's all.

Having said that, I agree Vintage, Crystal Rock, Divine, Destiny, Victoria yello (I think it's called Collectors) and Glasur would look great on that vehicle :thumb:

+1. I would even stick to something like AJT.

I looked into these cars, supposedly only 200 of them will be made. NICE!

The only main reason I mentioned Vintage is it is so nice to have free refills on stunning wax like Vintage... It kinda pays the purchase off...It doesn't mean the owner has to aim to the most expensivest, I recommended it because usually people that have these kind of vehicles aim for the best, and Vintage is one of the best waxes out there. Heck, I don't know, some owners might be convinced to buy all those great waxes listed by you above...
    To each their own.

SL63 is well over 100k. the regualar SL550 is over 100k itself. i agree with supercharged. if you can justify spending 150k+ on your ride, then whats another 2 grand on a wax to protect it and keep it looking its best, that you can also get free refills on?
