Need some help to remove some rubber stuck on the wheel of this Ferrari F430 Scuderia. Here are some pics.

What can I use to remove the rubber off the wheel WITHOUT damaging it?

    Thanks

Wow, why WOULD they put the weights there?????

Not knowing the finish on those wheels, I would try to heat it up with a heat gun or blow dryer, than try and scrape it off with a plastic razor/credit card

I would be looking for Bob or Dsms (the dynamic duo) to help me out on this one, seeing they've had their hands on a few.

    Good luck.

Use some tar and adhesive remover. The trick with most of these products is letting them dwell. Spray it on, let it sit and repeat until its softened it enough that it wipes off. Just talked to Bob at Auto Concierge for you. He mentioned Tarminator and said that would probably do it for you. :)

Tarminator and some light heat should do the trick.

Because of the clearance between the caliper and the wheel itself is tight, if you put a wheel weight there you run a high risk of it hitting the caliper.

Tar remover will and should work. They are clear coated wheels and should have no issue like Ken said.

Mine are weighted on the back lip.

It depends on were the weights need to be placed, sometimes the weight needs to be on the back side and sometime it needs to be by the spokes. It just depends on how the rim/wheel is balanced and were the weight needs to be placed to balance out the forces when spinning.

offsets/design/size can also play a factor is wheel weight placement.

Heat and adhesive remover. Easy fix. It's a wheel. The fact that it is on a Ferrari or whatever, makes no difference.

    Just sayin'!!

Spray Tarminator on it, let it settle in, agitate with a brush then try claying it?

Sounds scary but you can use a plastic razor to aid in the removel with the sugested advice above. let use know how it turns out bud.

I cant see that being a wheel weight. Is the car a track car? I know some of these babies are driven before delivery. Just treat it as you would another wheel with rubber. Maybe a hairdryer and a finger nail or some tar remover.

All Ferrari's are driven on the Ferrari test track to make sure everything is up to order a few times. But like everyone has said treat it like any other wheel.

Thank you all, guys! I know I should treat it like every other wheel, but being an expensive wheel, I want to take all the precautions to make sure I do it right.

    Thanks again!

Dont blame you, might as well ask if you have the time to ask before you have to work on it. Better safe than sorry.
