So I was in the states, driving on the 101 (down the coast of Washington and into Oregon) and got hit by a deer. Now my bumper is misaligned, and my passenger side doors have a few dents in them. Does anybody know of any good body / paint shops in the lower mainland? I don't mind driving out a ways - I just want to take it to a reputable shop. Here are pics of the damage: Hard to see, but there are a couple lines showing where the deer slid down the fender. Nothing serious just a couple marks that look like they'll be easy to get rid of. View attachment 1169 Passenger side doors: View attachment 1170 I couldn't get pics of the bumper to attach properly for some reason. But ICBC said it would warrant a full repaint. Anybody know of a quality body shop? Oh and how do I resize my pics...? Thanks, Jon
If you are willing to make the drive back down to Bellingham, WA, I have a friend who owns a bodyshop and has done some of the best work I have ever seen. My car has been in one (fairly bad) accident and he made it look like it never happened! I don't know if ICBC will cover the work down here, but it's something to look into. Mention you have insanely high standards for a repair, and it HAS to look like it never happened (via that is the definition of a repair, not a sub-standard job that'll do) PM me if you need more info
Thanks for the offer. I'll have to check in with ICBC about that. Much appreciated! :mounty: In the mean time...anybody else?
Thanks for the response Woob. I've read a wide range of comments about Korva, so I'm a little unsure of them. For the Bavara Auto Haus, I'll have to at least check that out. My only concern would be that it looks as though they deal mainly with BMWs and euro cars. I'll have to see what they say about working on Acuras.
Korva is good but we've been sending our clients to Bavara Auto Haus in Langley. ( 5514 275th 604-534-9928 ) Ask for Shaun Dawson and tell him I sent you. Its an amazing facility. 20,000 sq/ft with a fleet of BMW courtesy cars. These guys blow out the entire shop with airlines every week!
Thanks Ken. I haven't had a chance yet to check them out, but all in due time I guess! I'll be sure to look for Shaun. Anybody else?
No problem, what is funny is Bavara Auto Haus was looking for a few positions, notably Detailers this summer.
I used to work at Arbor Body Shop in Vancouver. They do good work there as I would still send my car there if I needed anything done. The address is 695 E.64th Ave, Vancouver. If you do swing by there, talk to Andrew.
