I don't remember exactly what color this is called. I think it's Jerez Black. Anyways, it's probably the cleanest car that's come to my garage yet. I barely needed to wash it. It was even waxed already. The man wanted a one step detail. I figured I would use PO203S on uber green pad to take care of everything. For the most part, it worked great. Then I figured, why not give M205 a shot since these swirls aren't very deep at all. On some of the panels, I used M205 on 3M UK yellow pad with the Kevin Brown method. It doesn't but nearly as much as PO203S, but it finishes a lot better. There were other swirls and RDS that were impossible with just these two polishes, so I told him that it'd take more work to get the rest done. M3 badging everywhere! Last bit of beading.... And the bad and this bad boy is ready FOR THIS! M205 demo POWARRRRRR It was dark when I was done, and I needed to give the car back on the same day, so I just took a bunch of pictures in my garage. Sorry I was a bit rushed today, so I couldn't take as many pictures as I wanted to. Enjoy.
Sweet Job Ben, looks terriffic :applause: Is this the car w/the clay in the bra? I love the Hood, Sweet
I'm with Flash on the hood, I love that bump..so sexy.. Its amazing how we make do with the space that we detail in...it just looks so tight to me, but good results keep coming out of that area.. Thanks for the pics man!
Very nice, well done Colour is Jerez black (has an almost blue tinge to it in sunlight). What camera and lens did you use for the pics BTW?
Thank you sir haha, i actually feel okay. it would've been worse had i been in crappier shape than usual yeah, this is the one. i was just like :sorry: because it feels like i failed as a detailer It was pretty tight since the car was really wide. We've also started storing more things here as you can see like that ping pong table. As long as my step ladder fit, I was fine. Otherwise, I'd have a terrible time polishing that roof. You bet it does! Thanks! Yeah, Jerez black is probably the same M3 color I'd pick too. The camera gear is the following... Nikon D200 Tokina 12-24mm f/4 Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 Nikon SB800 flash friend's pentax flash on a tripod icture: you should buy one then!
thats was good detail ..but u did have to get those scratches out the paint thats black its very seeable in the sun
Thanks buddy! yeah, but they're light and deeper than power finish on green can handle which is a lot already. anything more aggressive that i had in my selection would've left holograms on this paint which looks worse thanks p1et!
Ben..the Bimmer looks nice. It's too bad you couldn't up-sell him to a 2 or 3 step process to make it perfect..he obviously cares for it very well. Maybe he was just testing you? One small suggestion and it shows in the flash pictures, but dress the wheel wells. I know those big tires almost fill them up, but it does show a bit.
have fun with those wheels, haha these actually were really clean thanks, sal! thanks! the interior is a beauty as well thanks man! yeah, he might've been. i really tried to sell it because his was such a nice car. he was confident that he only needed a one step though. i did my best with 1-2 passes of PO203S and sometimes 4 passes of M205 with KB method to leave the best gloss possible.
