Got paid for my first work on a car today!:yippie::elefant:adlock: Ok ok, it was only for $40 for a wash and wax, and it might have taken a few hours, but he gave me his email and number and ask me to emai him one of my write ups (probably the Jetta one), to see if he wants to know more. We talked for a while and apparently he has a Porsche that's in need of some work :headbang:. I spent a good amount of time making his 08' Explorer look as good as I could in a time I had available (2 hours), did everything in hopes he'd have another car and be interested, worked out whooo. Sorry this isn't very relavent to...anything. I'm just ecstatic at the thought of a possible first PAID detail:giggle:
Whoo! Thanks :applause2: I'm actually gonna spend some of it on Papa John's for me and my family tonight to celebrate  Not much to celebrate but better than the casserole that was planned right haha
Good job, I remember my first paid "detail". It was just a wash and wax as well on a 67 GT500. Got about $30 but that was alot of a kid in Middle school haha. Keep it up!
Thanks guys! the Papa John's was well worth it :giggle: I kept one of the 20's, I'll keep in in the back of my wallet, might frame it if I don't need the money before that haha
Good job man. First job is always the hardest. For my first job, I did an ENTIRE Acura MDX wash, wax, interior (excluding buff) For about $60... Took me about 7 hours. But the guy was happy and loved it and got my name out. Just keep doing your thing man and show what you can do on the Porsche.
Congrats! Hope this leads to many many more and a lot more $$. Keep up the good work and word will spread!
Congrats :applause: Just don't get all caught up on the money aspect of detailing, keep it fun and don't scarifies quality over money and you'll realize that the money will follow quality, just my :2cents:
Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm at a limbo now where it's starting to become more of a job than a hobby--until I break out the polisher and thigs go my way
Congrats Bud! I'm in the same boat as you. I posted my first "real" correction detail last night that was worth documenting. It's quite the feeling of accomplishment, many Thanks to this board :mounty:
