SRP / Ez-creme Glaze / JetSeal /Collinite - swirls

Hello everybody, I'm an Aussie, I'm new here, I've read this site alot from google hits, and today I decided to register.

I have a 2000 model yellow car and the previous owner did nothing for the paint other than the weekly wash.

The car is covered all-over in ugly swirl marks (and a few scratches here and there). I've heard great things about Autoglym Super resin polish, so I am wondering will the following combination work well?

THe most important thing is filling the swirls, so I guess what I'm asking is, will any of the products interfere with SRP's filling properties?

The combo is:

Clay
Autoglym SRP
Chemicalguys Ez-Creme Glaze w/ Acrylic Shine-II
Jetseal 109
Collinite #476S

Also, how many layers of each product would you recommend I use?

I also have some Poorboys Pro Polish laying around, would there be any benefit to using it before the SRP?

I'm a newbie too, so please tell me which kind of 'applicator' you would use for each product (by hand).

The SRP will do a nice job of hiding the swirls. I'm sure following up with EZ Creme will eradicate any swirls. Remember to post pics.

Welcome to DB! I'd do one coat of Autoglym SRP (whatever it is, I never used it), one coat of Chemicalguys Ez-Creme Glaze w/ Acrylic Shine-II, 2 coats of JS109 (30 mins apart), and two coats of wax (12 hours apart)...

Welcome....I thought ez-creme had a bit of cleaning ability would that not take away the fillers in SRP? I would just use SRP 2x then JS/Collinite.

 

Ezcreme will remove any fillers from the srp

 

That was my main concern, is there anything you can recommend in place of the Glaze? Or just bypass it altogether?

 

If you are using SRP it will act as a glaze and gloss enhancer so it will take the part of EZ-Creme. It will also provide a good base for Jet Seal.

 

Use a new foam applicator for each product. AG has them on sale.

before tHE SRP? Or just a waste of money?

 

Waste just stick with SRP -> Jet Seal -> Collinite you will have good durability and masking.

 

*gasp* I read somewhere that collinite has solvents in it which will interfere with the sealant. Is this true?

 

Nope, Collinite #476 is a pure wax, no cleaners in it whatsoever.
