I'm picking up new wax and was pretty set on ordering Lusso Oro for my wax. It's affordable and from what i've heard, it works well on White paint (car is a Alpine White M3). I'm placing an order on the Chemical Guys for misc. detail supplies and noticed CG 5050 is on sale for only $48 right now. Factoring in shipping for a separate order of Lusso Oro from another detailing store and I would break about even on the overall price.

For those who have experience with both products or any recommendations, which LSP would you choose? I've yet to work with either product and really want to get a nice wet look with decent durability (I want it to last longer than a month of course but I don't mind re-applying every couple of months if needed).

Or would it be best to give JS 109 a try for my LSP? It's also on sale at CG for a reasonable price and as mentioned, I do not mind having to re-apply every 2-3 months if needed. This is for my personal car and I just want a great shine/wet look :)

JS 109 would be a pretty good LSP on its own

my vote goes to CG 5050 though. I've managed to get about 2-4 months on it depending on how I take the wax off. Yes, that seems to matter. If you do the "spit shine" method, it seems to bond better. If you want more info on that, it's in the detailing school section. togwt wrote it.

I do not fulfill your requirements, as I have only used js 109 and 5050. I do have Lusso, but have not used it. I use 109 and 5050 on most of my customer cars that want both a sealant and wax. Both CG products together give a fantastic result, and both are easy to use.

I haven't used 50/50, but I do use Lusso Oro quite a bit. Application with Lusso is so easy, it feels like cheating. I seem to get better results lookswise and durabilitywise when I use Lusso Revitalizing Creme first.

that's a tough one. They are both great waxes, and it depends on wheather you have/planning to have JS 109. JS109/5050 is a stunning combo, and you will get at least 3 months of durability from it. Lusso Oro on the other hand is also very nice, not as durable, but is very good looking. I have both...

that combo will undoutedly result in a very wet finish. i think i've stated either on this forum or another that i tried ck carnube moose wax buffed off with ocw spray and i can't find anything that comes out wetter, deeper, and glossier. i'm just giving my opinion here as i've used many combo's before but this one seems to do the trick for me. if, and i'm sure there are, wetter , glossier, and deeper combos out there i would love to try them as i'm always looking to try something that is potentially better. btw this combo comes by way of scottwax of of autopia, i can't take credit for it. deff worth a try and so very easy to do. on a well prepped car maybe 45 min.

Keep us posted on your thoughts of the two products, take pics if you can. I am very interested in what this combo looks like on a well prepped car. I now own JS109, but was thinking of also picking up 50/50.

    Please keep us posted.
