Here I sit at the computer at midnight icing my sore knee after spending 7 hours on a 1942 Cadillac convertible and I've got several more to go. Some of you who were around here early last year may remember me working on this car. Well it turns out the owner has had some health issues (he was in for a very serious operation) and has decided to get rid of some of his collection. This car is going up for auction next week in Michigan at the RM auction. (Same one that Calgary detail got his T-bird from last year). It was in pretty good shape really but some panels needed compounding and the whole car needed a good polish. I was amazed at how the water sheeted and beaded off the paint. A year plus later and the 105 still kicks ass...that's exactly why I use it on customers' cars!! You'll all be amazed that I'm using a Carnuba this time. I want it to glow for the sale and I don't care about longevity this time. There will be a S & S post on it when I finish it tomorrow. I'm off on 2 weeks vacation and I've got 3 cars to do. Finished one today and I've got the Caddy and a Nissan from the dealer that's been keyed. Gonna be a busy week and my damned knee is already giving me problems. Getting old bites...HUGE.
Hope your knee feels better tommorow! Quick question, did you use 901 (the polishing bonding agent by DG) to make it last over a year? Or is 105 really that amazing?
It's actually 601 and yes, if you clicked on the link to the word this in the original post, you'd have seen the writeup on the whole car. Lots of reading and photos mind you; that still remains the longest I've spent on a car to date. The combo of 601 and 105 is incredible. People will yap about you don't need it and granted there's a lot of misinformation about the product being thrown around by people who don't know what they're talking about. Truth is, it's a very potent combo.
:chris:Suck it up and move on old Man...: :shead:Get 1 of those knee braces,WallyWorld, Walgreens,Rite-Aid...carries these for about $30.eace: Thats what I do when my knee starts to act up.:duh:
I wear one whenever I am working on a car and while at work. I go for a series of 3 injections into my knee with some kind of gel. I'm praying it works and diminishes the pain I have been in..
Sorry to hear about your knee. Did you go to all your rehab. sessions. My dad had his knee re-done and stopped going because they pissed him off so now his knee still bothers him.
:gasp: Dang, I didn't realize it was a persistant pain.:sorry: I will Pray for your Knee and the Doctors and Technicians that you will be seeing, Heck I take it as far as Praying there Machinery(MRI/Cat Scans)are funtioning proper at the time I need them to. When do you go to get checked out? :waiting2: :shead:Anybodt else on here live close, maybe they could lend you a hand.
Dana..Yes I did go to all of them. In fact, I used up the coverage I had from my work and even used the coverage from my wife's work as well. I am continuing with my exercises at home but the physiotherapist says that it's no longer a muscle issue but rather in the joint itself. I'll be just sitting there doing nothing and I'll get a shot of pain that will make me wince. Flash...thanks for your prayers, really. As such a smart-ass as I am, I am a true believer in prayer and have an affinity for Padre Pio (now Saint Pio). I'm hoping these injections work...there is a 70% success rate I'm told.
If you need any help,I know a good interior detailer that would give you a hand. Hope you knee feels better.
That is horrible. Is there something else they can do for your knee? Once again I am sorry to hear about you still having misery with the knee.
Something else? Just those injections. I've had the 1st one already and did not notice any difference. Two more to go, all a week apart. I've been advised that it is a slow acting thing though..I'm biding my time.
Sorry to hear about your knee richy :compfort: Now that I look back I realize how hard I've been to my body when I played soccer, luckily my soccer days are long and gone and I'm taking much better care of my body. Hope the knee gets better eace:
