I wanted to know if anyone has tried this. It's not a wheel cleaner, it's a wheel sealer. From the promo videos it seems to work but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with it. Also, I'm concerned about how safe this might be for different finishes.
I just checked their site and it says it only keeps them clean for like 2 weeks. DG 105 will blow that out of the water.
Sorry, when someone says wheels I think rims+tires= wheel. And yea, any sealant is gonna blow that away. I just use Poorboy's Wheel Sealant.
I don't think a rim specific sealant is necessary. Any old sealant will do. Honestly, nothing I've tried actually "keeps them clean". It may reduce the buildup slightly but most of all it makes it easier to clean up at the next wash. Lately I haven't even been sealing my own. Whatever ONR leaves behind is working enough for me.
Once the initial brake dust has been removed, most people here wash their cars so often that they stay clean through the normal wash process. It's just getting them in that condition in hte 1st place.
The rims on my car are spotless. I did, however, seal them with PB Wheel Sealant before they were put on the car and wax them along with the car. On the weekend, all I have to do is spray some CG SWG on them, let it dwell for a minute or two and hose them off, hitting them with the brushes is usually my OCD kicking in and not really necessary. I think I just like using the brushes.
