wow that was fast, ordered it Friday 6/12, received it Monday 6/15. It shipped from British Columbia pretty damn fast, not to mention the shipping was free!

Jesus that's a big pot. Can't wait, Roger! (well.. I could ). That lense is super clear! I didn't know Olympus did DSLR.. great stuff!

 

haha well... we can try this weekend. i'll try to find some jars quickly. Carrie and I will be headed to the east coast on vacation starting next friday. we'll be gone for a week, so we should try to setup a time to meet this weekend.

Olympus is fairly new to the DSLR community, but they're built on the 4/3rd standard. it has its advantages and disadvantges, but i like the size/weight advantage the standard holds and the quality of the glass.

Nice pick-up on the wax...

Not familiar with it but...still nice pick up.

The shipping was crazy fast! WOW.

 

I got some wide mouth mason jars we can use. If you guys don't object I'm planning on transfering the wax into the jars on Thursday night. I can get together any time this weekend except mid/late afternoon because my parents are coming to visit for an hour or two.

 

I should be up for it. You're busy Sunday too right, for the big Dublin Honda meet?

Hey guys I just wanted to shoot this idea out to you all and see if anyone would be interested.

We have a Norcal member by the name of Norcal Bob who happens to run a detailing business and has a shop located in Fremot. I messaged him asking if he would be humble enough to host a meet at his shop and he's more than happy to do so. I'm just gauging interest to see if you guys would like to so. Possibly learning some new things and maybe do a bbq or a potluck or something along those lines.

So Aaron/SpecC, we need to setup a time this weekend.... i got the waxes separated into the jars, so it's all ready to go. Last night i tried giving one pot a hot water bath to get to wax to melt down and it worked pretty well. Do you guys have a preference? I can do it to the second pot also, let me know. Anyways, saturday seems to work for all of us, I assume Aaron will be in Newark, but where in San Jose will you be SpecC? We can try to meet somewhat in the middle.

 

Works for me.. just let me know when. I'm just doing a mini detail on my car but nothing exciting

Thanks, Aaron, but I'm good. I just bought the Makita 9227c in the for sale section of this forum. It'll be here Friday, and I'll finish up my tC this weekend if my friends don't want a detail first.
