Hi guys, I am looking for a good quality pressure washer. I intend to wash my cars and clean around the house. I heard a lot about Karcher but I am not sure if it's the right choice: reliability? can you use it for a long time or just 15-20 minutes each time? I was thinking more of something like this: AR AR767 - Blue Clean Prosumer 1900 PSI Electric Pressure Washer But there again, I don't know what to look for in terms of specs: PSI? GPM? What do I need to know? Thanks ahead of time for your inputs/feedback/opinion! :thumb:
This is what I have, half the price of the one you listed and works great! http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/f5/finally-something-will-put-use-9545.html Plenty of power available and GPM is high enough. Check out your Canadian tire! http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brow...~0398692P/Briggs++2200PSI+Pressure+Washer.jsp Wait for a sale, no use paying $100 extra for it, we got it for $299 i believe
You don't need the Tim Taylor version..I'd be afraid of damaging the surface. I have a 1900 psi Karcher that I bought at a Canadian Lowe's and it's great. I compared a 1900 Simonize but had read really shitty reviews about it breaking. The nice feature of the Simonize is that it has a reel to spool up the hose after...that would be nice indeed. My Karcher is only 3 months old but it's been great so far...hope that helps.
Thanks! You're right. No need to spend that much on a pressure washer. I will look into Karcher. Perhaps the bad reviews I read were about lemon units.
Karcher makes some very inexpensive little ones..perhaps that was what generated the bad reviews? I dunno...you gonna get yours in Canada or the US?
Seems like the Karchers available in walmart, etc...are hit or miss..some last years some last weeks it seems.
Either or. Why? Is there something to consider? Let me know. I commute frequently between Montreal and Boston so I can get it either place.
I picked up a gas powered one at the local Kragen auto parts store, it was on sale for $139.00. It is pretty damned nice, but it has a short hose so I am going to get a longer one from that pressure washer place online.
Do you have a foam cannon yet? If not talk to Deep Gloss Auto (Jason) and I think he can get you hooked up with all that stuff.
I'm planning to pick up a karcher as well!! Can anyone direct me to a good foam cannon/ foam lance? The only ones I found were overseas??
Karcher is the way to go. I've had mine for two years this summer and use the shit out of it and have had zero problems...:thumb:
I ordered my foam cannon from overseas at PolishedBliss. Came within about a week, for about $75 US shipped. Works very well with my small karcher unit i got from BigLots. Havent had any problems yet with it!
I have the same one but I bought it the states. There are a couple more different kinds out there but the quality of this one is second to none...:thumb:
If you can find one of the "lemon" units jump on it. You can pick up many for next to nothing (almost new). In another post you ask if they only run for a short time. Here's the problem with them. There was not enough grease put on the top valve at the factory. They are OK for a short time while new and then start losing their prime while running (intermitently). Just take the valve apart, regrease, reinstall. A ten minute job and you've got a new PW. My neighbor and I saw many of them for approx. $50 a year ago.
