This job was only a 1-step correction)basic) exterior detail, and with Nissans clear being relatively hard I was only able to get a small amount of correction even when using M105/yellow polishing foam using the KBPCM. Luckily this car was very well maintained, so it only added to the cleanliness. Even though the customer was only paying for a 1-step correction I found myself fighting for that extra little bit of correction. Before. Prepping to Polish. My test panels to find which method worked best.
i get mixed thoughts on nissans clear .. some people say its soft .. some say its hard either way .. awesome job
I did a detail not too long ago on the same color Z and found the clear to be pretty hard, my only problem was I was working in direct sunlight (never again, I should be shot for doing it) and as soon as I would touch the car with a MF or anything it immediately swirled which I would assume with any paint that is hot like that but it seemed easier to induce on the Z clear than on other cars I have worked on. My fault in the first place.
