I was viewing the Gloss It website and I just so happened to come across this "special" microfiber: Ultra Plush Dyring Towel What do you all think? I think it's a bit pricey... very pricey!!! :thud:
What kills me is that any of us, who regularly spend untold amounts on detailing supplies including $1000 and $2500 jars of wax , would call a $30 towel ridiculous! LOL I mean, I have a $100 anodized, brass and aluminum firehose nozzle! Now which site is that towel on?
But waxes are special things Ken! Also one thing to note is that most of everything that GI sells is usually considerably higher than most products in the market/industry. The only thing that I've found to be reasonably priced has been their backing plates.
Yes their stuff is really high, but a lot of people sure swear by them. Denzil, i just noticed your "status" on here, whats up with that haha?
I reall have no clue how you could bring yourself to spending $2000+ on WAX.... but I'm not that crazy yet, every car I own also has rust (Does that word scare people around here) so my priorities are at a slightly different level right now. I'm just trying to make what I have better. That being said there are a few bigger $$ items I would love to have, professional steamer, extractor, electric pressure washer to name a few... Detailing is an expensive deal!
I just looked these up. You can get these from Polished Bliss or Rubbish Boys for about $15USD plus shipping. They are verrrrrry soft but being I personally find them a little difficult to use. I'll stick with my waffle weaves, thanks.
It's just like anything: it's that last 1% that will set you back a shedload of money. I personally find all these superplush towels a load of bollocks. It's most frustrating to remove product with these than the "regular" towels. The thickest towel I like is the CG Fluffer. But my favorite is still Juztang's Ultra Premium. It's fookin' PERFECT. And if you drop it on the floor, or wipe down a single-stage paintjob, it's not the end of the world. But personally, $30 for a towel? They can keep it. PS: CG probably makes it
I have that towel. But I bought it from Ben. I love it. I use it to get the water that the ww doesn't pick up. I don't like to move the ww over the surface. But that super plush one works well where the ww falls short.
Oh, and I AM going to buy a 30 dollar microfiber drying towel. Although it's a LOT bigger than this one. something like 35x48. Supernatural Drying towel aka the Jedi Blanket. I'm going to try to get Justin to do a group buy... what do you think, Justin?
Oh, awesome find Ken! Yeah, I feel the exact same way P1et! I really like Justin's Ultra Premiums, I have like 70 of them, haha. I will say that I do like the Shag Rags though. Ballin!
It's probably being upscaled since it doesnt seem like anyone in the US sells this towel. Although they are selling their grit guard and edge wash mit for a couple bucks more than most places.
