Oh the HUMANITY (GTI Carnage)

RICE FTL...sorry too much Vortex and GOLFMKV.com oozing out of my body.

My wife actually knicked my GTI backing out of the driveway in her 1 day old Mazda 5. Jacked her car up way worse than mine but still I was livid for a couple days. Not near as bad as yours.

 

Ouch that doesn't look good at all, sorry to see pictures of your vehicle in this state but I do hope the body shop restores it back to the way it was :comfort:

 

yeah im pretty upset about that. as soon as he put his hand out towards the car i knew what was coming, and it took everything in me to not freak out on him. he just wouldnt understand.

I'm looking at getting her into the body shop by friday or saturday. It would be nice if i ended up pocketing a little cash from this. my friends insurance is cutting me a check first, so im hoping the shop comes in under that amount. then i can get me an Infratech and/or a Metro Vac n Blow and some other misc goodies i want....errr, i mean, i need.

I think that SIP with an orange pad would resolve most of your problem. If not, try something more agressive. :sorry:

hows the car coming along??? Hate to see a VW victimized by a honda....

and the body shop guy was right, thats one of the worst places to get hit...it takes a lot to get that panel just right again.

 

just got the car back last week after being in the body shop for THREE WEEKS. shop had to put in TWO additional supplemental damage claims with the insurance company. car looks 99.9% flawless. the ONLY thing i could find wrong was a 1"X 1" wetsanding scratch that was obviously overlooked/missed during the polishing stages, but thats something i can take care of myself in like five minutes. i'll put pics up soon, i just need to find the time to wash her so i can put up proper pictures.

 

Great to hear that she's back to 99.9%.

I can't wait for the pics.
