This is a friends car and I was very excited to do this detail. Car was in decent condition besides your usual swirls.

    Process:
    - Wash with ONR then clayed with ONR as lube
    - Rims got P21s gel and agitated with a SV brush, backs was cleaned with an EZ brush
    - Tires and wheel wells cleaned with TAW
    -

Some pictures of the damage that needed to be corrected

Paint correction was done via Makita. All horizontal panels were buffed with yellow Sonus pad and Fast cut plus. Vertical panels took the same pad but used SIP. The hood and trunk on this car was really bad so I needed to resort to a stronger compound. This was followed by 85rd on a blue 3m pad.

    Can you say DUST!!!

    Now some before and afters

    some 50/50s

Exhaust cleaned with P21s polishing soap

Now the car was covered in dust so it was time to give it another good wash. Used the foam cannon just because after all that hard correcting, i just want to make sure i have plenty of lubrication so I dont marr the finish again. Foamed with a very strong mixture of Hyper Wash.

After the car was washed it was now time to protect all the hard work. I ended up using Crystal Rock since the car is mostly garaged and I wanted to give it that extra pop. So onto CF which was applied with the Festool and blue 3m pad.

ya man you missed out, nice car.

I wish, i didnt have time to test drive, all i really did was reverse it and move it to the middle of the garage. Full exterior and interior, took about 10 hours to finish, and thats WITH my quick 10 minute lunch break lol.

    Thanks for the comments everyone.

For the foam cannon, i think i have about 6 oz or so of HW and the rest water.

I see. Thanks. I try to it cost efficient and usually use 2 oz of CWC.

I usually use it around that strength for normal washing, but when i rewash the car to get rid of all the dust i like an extra strong mixture since there is nothing protecting the paint yet. Puts my mind a little at ease knowing that extra lubrication isnt marring my already polished paint.

Damn Brent, that looks awesome! I've never heard of the Festool, care to share a little info on it?

Oh and as a little side note, I washed my car today and foamed it with 2 oz of the Turtle Wax Platinum car wash soap and man was that stuff thick! Keep in mind I also was using the CR as well but I'm definitely impressed. The good thing too was that it didn't strip the Saphir that was put on my car a couple weeks ago. :)

Festool is a great machine. I've used both it and the flex and decided to buy it over the flex. I think this machine ran me about 350 (i forget). I think it was supposed to have more power than the flex, but I like it cause its LOT easier to control than the flex and the definite winner is that it doesnt scream in your ears like the flex does.
