Did the hood of my old '97 polo to test a couple of 3M products.

Standard wash, clay etc first gave this result:

A lot of swirls and deep scrathes having a good time. It is obvious that this car hasn't received any TLC at all from the previous owner...

So I tried the least agressive method first, yellow 3M Perfect-It III Extra Fine, on a yellow 3M waffle pad, on a 3M backplate on a Metabo...puh !

    Got some but not all...

On to the green capped 3M Fast-Cut III, on a green and harder foam pad.

Definately did the trick but a lot of dust.

Finishing with the Extra-Fine on yellow pad

I am overall very pleased with the result, but the Fast-Cut did dust a bit so I'll try an orange or black pad next time. Extra-Fine on Yellow waffle an absolute DREAM to run, as well as the backing plate.

Wil do the rest of the car and finish with a DG 105+111.

    Cheers !
