I ordered a pressure washer and a foam cannon attachment, but I am confused about how to do the washing process with them.

Do you rinse the car before you foam it? Is it bad to pressure wash a dirty car- will it make the dirt scratch the finish?

i would suggest rinsing the car at pressure first to remove as much surface contamination as possible, then foaming it, letting it dwell, then rinse again at pressure. then wash using 2BM.

i do the samething but could i rinse, foam car and let it dwell than instead of rinsing again i just wash it with a wool sponge?

It's safer to rinse again because it pulls more contamination off.
