alright guys, i had some time after school today and the car needed a wash.. so i decided to give it what it wanted.

It was my first time waxing the car, and i think it came out pretty good...

I washed it using zymol auto bathe
Clayed it using Meg's Clay Kit
    HD-Cleanse
    Zymol Titanium Wax

... it took like 4 hours  , but im sure ill get better at it

---didnt get a chance to clean my moms car, ever since i started reading these forums, i took away here privilage to get the car washed at a drive-through:thumb: So i know its really dirty

    tell me what you think...

Vehicle looks great, 4hrs is quite reasonable, it sometimes takes me that long just for a simple wash

nice job. looks like youre off to a good start. did you use the two bucket method for your wash? if not, make sure to pick up yourself a second bucket and a pair of grit guards!

oh and just curious, how did the clay look after you were finished with it? any contamination etc?

    thanks

i sorta used the two bucket method.. a bucket, and a bin ..haha i think im going to look for a grit guard and another bucket...but until then..this in fine. I also used a zymol sponge..and it worked really good

And the clay was filthy( when i was done)..even when i was rubbing it on teh car..there was dirt present on the in the QD..almost like it lifted it out of the paint..

yeah do yourself a favor and pick up two five gallon buckets and a pair of grit guards. they're one of the most important aspects of detailing your car in order to minimize inducing swirls, defects, marring, etc.

i was thinking you would say the clay was filthy. not surprising for a brand new car. those cars just sit on the lot and become quite contaminated in short periods of time. i would know, i detail at a bimmer dealership haha.

Nice job there. 4 hours is in line with how long it should take.

Nice job. That takes me up to 6 hours sometimes (without claying), but that's with ONR. Normal wash, I don't remember haha. I'll find out tomorrow though (First real wash in a long time :) :) ).
