    BrendanS Welcome to Detailing

Got this order a while ago and our camera is finally working again. Sorry for the bad pictures though. I ordered 10 Superfly towels, 2 Waffle Weave Drying Towels, and 1 Glass Waffle Weave. In the past I've used my crappy Walmart MFs to buff off wax. With these new superflys it's a breeze to buff off wax. I love it! Now, on to the waffle weaves. I honestly, can't say I'm happy with them. Everybody said they loved them, but honestly my Vrooms from Target are a lot better at drying the cars off. These WWs just don't stop streaking! I haven't washed them so they may be better after I wash them. Also, the window waffle weave put two scratches in the tint of my moms car. There wasn't anything stuck in them, I wasn't pushing down to hard just cleaning:yikes::yikes:. They also leave streaks. I'll do a better write up once I get some MF wash detergent. But anyways, here are some pics!

Sorry to hear of this, i know how i would feel. I would be looking at the towels again to see how this happened. Let us know after washing if this helped.

Yeah, you'll want to wash them first before actually using them... :shead:

I did, for like 5 minutes. I couldn't find anything that would scratch the tint. The scratch isn't noticeable so it's alright.
    Yeah...:shead:

I was never a fan of waffle weaves.

I have one of Justin's yellow waffle weaves and did wash them first with CG's MF wash. I only see streaking when the towel is complete dry, but once it's a bit more damp it seems to work well.

Yes, you want to make sure you wash the towels before you use them. That is the first thing I do before using them. This is the first I've heard of the waffle weave scratching. Maybe there was some kind of particle in the towel?

I agree - Always wash all Micro fiber towels before they touch any paint...:thumb:

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the waffle weaves, didn't want to absorb much at all it seemed when compared to other waffle weaves, however the rest of the bunch are absolutely perfect. The superflys, shag rags, gladiator and ultra premiums are of extremely good quality, and justin's service is top notch! :thumb:

Nope, I looked at it under the work light and found nothing.

Maybe the particle fell out/off the towel.

    Super Fly Towels rock! :headbang:

Since it sounds like you didn't wash anything before you used it, make sure you wash the SF towels separately, so they don't turn the others pink. This is, IMO, good practice for any microfiber when you first get it:

    1. Wash before use
    2. Wash differing colors separately

Those Vroom towels I got a couple days ago had dirt in them for sure...had I just used them straight off the store shelf, I could have marred something.

Will do Karl! Thanks for the tip, need to order some MF Detergent now
That is possible, oh well the two scratches are barely noticeable, you only see it if you look at it with light
