So for awhile iv been seeing all kinds of threads about Zaino Z-2 and Z-5,Z-6,Z-8.I get confused about Z-5.When i read the description it sounds like a polish but also a sealant. So then whats the purpose of using Z-2?Then i read about Z-8 which makes it sound like its better then Z-6 so whats the purpose of using Z-6?Also has anyone tried Z-CS??how do you apply Z-CS,Z-2 and Z-5??Do you use a regular foam pad applicator or do you use a PC?
So Z2 Pro is the daddy of all the sealants, and looks great on lighter colored cars. Z5 is also a sealant, but for darker colors AND it can actually hide some minor paint defects. Most people just use both and layer them on top of each other, which works great. I am not a big fan of Z6, it's a QD. Then Z8 is a QD on steroids, fantastic for your final wipe-down. I use a foam applicator for Zaino, since you have to use so little of it.
Z-CS was developoed to be the last application after you've got the paint prep and your desired coats of Z-2 or Z5, then you seal in the treatment for a bit more gloss with greater durability.
I apply all of Zaino's products by hand except for their paint cleaner Fusion (ZPC) which is best applied by machine. I love CS. I use CS in conjunction with Z8. After I apply my sealant be it Z2p, Z5p or both I apply a coat of CS and then hit it with Z8. The CS/Z8 topper will give you that little extra level of wetness and depth and really makes the Zaino POP IMHO. I like to use Z6 before I apply the polish as it gives me a clean slick finish that allows zaino to just glide on super thin. I then finish with Z8. Sometimes if I get any slight streaks or should I say spots that didn't remove as cleanly as I like or between coats I will hit it with Z6 to give me a flawless finish, then Z8 for the extra POP.
I use Z6 between coats of either Z2pro or Z5. And Z8 for the final wipedown and after washes. Some dont like the ZFX but I use it because I always use 3 coats and like that they can be applied back to back. I also use ZAIO if its a first time car or Im switching from a diferent LSP.
