Well, I was feeling a little down all week since classes started, and I decided to come back to NJ today for a little meditative detailing on my Philly daily driver. 55 degree weather break, just what the doctor ordered. I pull up, and the neighbor I never talk to is out washing his car with a gallon container of green stuff. He looks as I pull the hose out, and it's ON! I bring out the works, foam cannon, PC, two buckets, grout sponge etc. etc. I wound up just doing a wash and condition, then applying Duragloss 501/105 combo. He pulls out, mind you he used it for waxing, a Dewalt rotary, GAS leaf blower, work shop towels, and one of those half ass friggin telescopic brushes to wash the back windows on his Jeep, which stands a mighty 5'5" tall. You know how it is, you compete with lawns, decorations, etc. I found it funny that he thinks he was doing it right. Waxing with a WOOL PAD with a rotary. Today, victory is spelled K-Y-L-E.

Edit- And I finished first... BOOYAH!:thumb:

Hahaha good story. I have no one on my block that comes even near me detailing wise. Actually I often over hear " why does he wash his car so much?" and "It takes him forever." But yeah I am bummed about classes started up too. But hey at least there are new girls to meet in my classes. :)

Gran Torino style, with the handgun and all. Warning, bad language.

Haha, nice. Closest person I have to our standards is a person who uses Griots Garage products down the street. Sadly, his M3 is swirl heaven but that means I can work on it later :D

Wish I could have a proper race :p

I was considering giving him some tips, but he's like 45-50 and hes probably stubborn.

Congrats on finding the creepiest smiley in the forum. LOL.

I find most people are stubborn. I have a supercar owner next door and he uses some crap detailer. He hates me so its hard to persuade him of anything lol

    Creepy! :p :poke: :p :applause2:

Wow. Competitive detailing! They should make a TV game show of this.
If they made the show in Japan, the loser would somehow end up in a muddy pool of water.

i wish i had your neighbors. that makes for a funny afternoon..

clint was great in gran torino but it was boring at times.. i sat next to an asian guy..even he busted out laughing when walt(clint) calls the kid a "f'n eggroll" i mean the whole place was laughing their ass off.. just when it got boring a classic line that my grandpa used frequently would come out and the place laughed like crazy..sadly my grandfather passed some years ago but this movie really brought about some great classic memories of him..clint did a phenominal job i was just disappointed the movie lacked a lot in the whole..definitely felt boring at times.
