I plan to thoroughly clean my floor mats and interior carpeting in the near future and would like to follow up with a layer of protection. I am interested in trying 303 High Tech Fabric Guard; however, I haven't heard any feedback concerning this product. I've also seen Scotch Fabric Guard for sale in local hardware and department stores. Any input on this product? I'm looking for a product which offers a legitimate barrier of protection on carpeted surfaces that last 4-6 months in adverse conditions (I'm beating my carpets up with salt, sand, mud, and water these harsh winter months).
I have used Scotch and Stoner's and they are both very similar. I'm not sure of the release date, but Optimum is developing a AIO carpet cleaner that cleans, removes stains, and leaves polymer protection in one step. I really don't know about 4-6 months on the driver's side mat, but it will last at least that long everywhere else. I would HIGHLY recommend Husky liner floor mats for winter months. The price seems high until you fall in love with them, then you will have them in every car you own. OH, and the best part is they will hold like a half gallon of fluid and clean up with APC.
AFAIK, I've had great success with the 303 HTFG. I haven't had any other experiences with similar products.
I'm quite pleased with 303, works great and it last a long time as well. I've used the Scotchguard but for soem reason I prefer the 303..just personal preference I suppose
