who uses steel wool?

Who else here uses a fine steel wool to do their glass and chrome?

*please do not try this unless you are sure that it is REAL chrome and are experienced!*

 

i have never done it, I have heard good things but never done it. I stick to polishes ment for that.
Perhaps if I knew how, and felt more comferatble i would,but for nowits just chrome polish for me

 

i use it on my windows if iv gotten some over spray from my interior shine. or if theres finger prints from my daughter i spray the window then lightly buff with 000 steel wool. does a nice job.

 

I've used very fine steel wool on exaust tips, but that's about it though. Windows I've never trid it on.

I'd love to hear more about your technique/method 89s1

 

I've used steel wool on chrome and windows...

000 Steel Wool with some metal polish and wd-40 for extra lube is a mean combo!!!

 

If needed I will use 0000 steelwool, works awesome. I have even used it on polished exhaust tips.

I bet it leaves a smooth finish.

I have used it before but only when I needed to be very aggressive..it does work however.

 

I use it daily to remove the railroad dust (fallout) from the windows of the cars I get ready for delivery.

I use a fallout remover on the body as well and let it sit 2-10 mins.

Always use a small peice in the palm of my hand, small enough so that if i hit the paint at the edges of the glass I touch with the skin on my hand, and not the steel wool.

 

I use 0000 steel wool on wheels and glass with KAIO

 

0000 steel wool on chrome and glass with KAIO as well..killer combo and leaves the glass SUPER slick...the kind of slick that eliminates the need for windshield wipers...and chrome just comes out looking sick...
